aquacomputer kryographics waterblock compatibility

Hi all

I am building a new water cooled PC and have purchased Aquacomputer Kryographics waterblock for R9 290X GPU. Can anyone tell me if these water blocks are compatible with all R9 290X cards or only stock reference cards. ie Will they fit the http://www.asus.com/au/Graphics_Cards/ROG_MATRIXR9290XP4GD5/ or the MSI Lightning R9 290X?

They will only fit reference cards, and definately not Matrix, Lightning etc cards

Those cards use custom designed PCB's and have water blocks specially designed for them that only fit them.

It says it is a stock reference PCB design.

Is there anyone else out there that has used the aquacomputer kryogriphics Hawaii waterblock and if so what card did you use?

No, The Asus DirectCUll cards are custom PCB designs and Aquacomp don't make blocks for them.

Edit: In general if a card will fit one reference water block it will fit another so, other brands have lists of cards that fit.

This isn't a guarantee though, and cards are sometimes revised by the manufacturers and are no longer reference.

This isn't a guarantee though, and cards are sometimes revised by the manufacturers and are no longer reference. Reply > The Sapphire Tri-X will definately fit the Kryographics card, I checked my AMD Factory 290 and the PCB is identical. Here's a pic of my 290 block that I gold-plated myself.
