Do I need Aquasuite running in order to use Ampinal?

I know Ampinal does most of the monitoring itself, but am I missing anything if I don’t have Aquasuite running in the background? Will alarms and anything else still work?

Obviously I’m trying to keep the computer running lean and don’t want programs running that aren’t necessary.

Neither the software nor a USB connection is required. AMPINEL operates completely autonomously.

Without the software there are three alarm actions that can not be processed:

- Windows popup message
- Closing apps with high GPU load
- Shut down computer

In your case AMPINEL would escalate the alarm levels until the graphics card is shut down by switchting of the sense lines or the power supply.

If we assume a "normal" problem like a larger imbalance occurs, you will get an acoustic alarm before the shut down happens. Otherwise the card will be shut down immediately without prior warning.
