How Tight?

jeudi 3 mars 2005, 23:07

Installing Aquacomputer into my new V2000B, how tight should I be turning the connections? I realise I can use a spanner, but I'd rather not apply to much pressure should it be enough with the pressure I can apply with my fingers?

If I leaktest it, and it's leak free, will it remain leak free?

hi, and welcome to the board :)

a little bit more than you can apply with your fingers is the best.

normally it should be and stay leak-free, after you've made a leaktest.

Thanks for the welcome.

Another little question, turns out the bottom of my Cuplex Pro wasn't completely flat, so I'm lapping it down to 2000 grit. I guess I just got the last one made on a friday afternoon?

if the cooler is not useable, or if the cooling performance would get lower by this, i would send in the cooler, AC will surely send you a new one...

Oh, it's usable, but lapping (using sand paper/glass paper) will give a better finish. I just noticed that the block I have wasn't flat. It's almost flat now though, and will be completely flat and have a mirror finish by the time I'm done :)
