Was muss ich anstellen um 100 Hz in der GNOME-UI zu haben?

Edit: Warum habe ich keine Berechtigung, die ATI-Treiber zu installen?
Hat doch keiner mehr Rechte als root oda?

Habs gemacht. Aber bei der anschließenden Konfiguration hat das nich so ganz hingehauen:
Irgedwie fehlen da die neuen Karten. Ich hab ne X800Pro, welche eigentlich im neusten Treiber unterstützt werden soll.
Weiterhin gab es bei der Installation einen Fehler mit vorkompiliertem Kernel oder so.
Die 3D-Bildschirmschoner laufen immernoch alle laaaaaahm.

Seitdem geht der Monitor in Standby, wo das Loginfenster kommen soll.
Vielleicht ist das eine Variante dieses Problems?

Auf den deutschen Wiki komm ich nich drauf. Heute nicht, gestern nicht. Und die englische Variante der Anleitung hab ich probiert - ohne Erfolg.
Jo die haben gerade tierische Probleme mit ihrem Server. Seit gestern ist ein neues Layout oben, aber wirklich stabil ist es wohl noch nicht. Öfter mal probieren, das WIKI dort ist wirklich Gold wert.

So. Seite ging jetz. Anleitung befolgt -> gleicher Fehler.
Gibt es denn kein Konfigurationstool für die xorg.conf ?

nein.
aber das dürfte eigentlich kein problem sein. einfach für xfree eins erstellen und dann die keyboard layouts ändern. kann dir auch meine xorg.conf schicken wenn du willst.

Damit geht's.
Hab jetz sogar schon die Hardcoreanleitung mit dem RPMs durch und auch mit Erfolg installiert, nur wird der fglrx-Treiber immer noch nich geladen, obwohl er in den Modules steht.

Kein passendes Device gefunden? Aber dann doch Chipset found?
Ich versteht das nich?
Vorher kommt im Log ne Liste mit den unterstützten Karten und meine:
"RADEON X800 PRO (R420 4A49)" ist auch dabei.
Sehr verwirrend. Was muss ich nun tun?

nunja iss halt so. ich pers. glaub dass das der zweite monitorausgang ist.
