What an absolutley amazing product!!!!!!!
Have to say this was the most fun I have had playing with water cooling!!
I have setup "target temp" Curve controls to adjust the various fans based on each loops water temp. Also for the internal air temp, and Fan Amp temps.
I have the RGB led installed replacing the Power led so I get another quick visual clue to whats going on. Green for below operating temp, blue for normal temp and red for overheating.

Im still working out the alarms but for now just have an over temp alarm for each loop and the CPU so it beeps and the RGB led flashes Red.

Running up on the bench to work out the configuration.





Remounting the waterblock with METAL screws and insulators to tighten up the mount. The included plastic screws felt too flimsy and left the block a little floppy.

Installed the PA2s with an old Ram fan to cool PA2 heatsinks. Works remarkably well dropping Poweramp temps by 20c! Of course controlled by a PA2, to ramp up with a target temp 70c with a virtual sensor i set up for the PA2 Fan Amp temps

A couple of the fans generate a dirty RPM signal below 6v but it doesnt effect the operation as the fans are voltage controlled anyway.

How did you do that in one area could see more than one indication? (temp, power, etc...)

The extra data is just additional sensor 'values' i inserted for each sensor and then positioned inside the main sensor box.

New load testing results with slightly different target temps.

I have 4 GPUs + MB/RAM in a loop - Aquaero 5 calculates 750w dissipation by the loop based on roughly 3c water delta between cold side and hot side of the loop when under load. The loop has 120.6 of rads.

Ambient 23c water idles 30c with fans at 900rpm but under load water goes to 37c with GPUs at 45c and fans at 1800rpm.
Water temp 37c = 42-45c across the GPU cores with 15mins Furmark load.

My target temp for the GPU loop fan controllers is 34c water out.

FYI my GPUs are idling at 950/1300 in 2d and 1000/1300 in 3d. So they dump about 370w at idle into the loop. Because I have eyefinity I have to lock the 2d clocks and voltages to stop flickering.
Before I locked the cards 2d and disabled powersaving mode the water would idle at 1c above ambient.

Well its official the A5 will support 2 x D5 pumps running at the minimum pump start voltage of 7v with the pumps on channel 2 & 4 which pushes both channels voltage regulators to 65c with the water block.

I tried channel 3 & 4 together but that triggered over temp of 95c.
Interesting that even a single D5 will heat a fan amp to 65c too but running 2 on channels next to each pushes 95c in both fan amps.

A bit strange because the pumps each only draw 1.4 amps at full power and .8 Amps at 7v which means the heatsink only has to take a load of about .5 amp each channel.
I know the pairs 1&2 3&4 share a temp sensor each pair, so I think the engineers have some tweaking to do in the firmware around temperature measurement of the voltage regulators.

I put a temp probe down the back of the water block heatsink between it and the board and it was registering 40c on the surface of the block and 59c when near a voltage regulator.

I got asked to do a test on another forum and got the following results which might be interesting to some.

3 x 370mA fans at 4.4v drawing 300mA and 2 x D5 pumps at 7v is the safe limit for an A5 with waterblock on my config. Shared 3&4 channels heating to 85c. Adding a 4th fan on the channel pushes it to draw 420mA and right on 95c.

Ch3 3 x 370mA fans running at 4.4v 300mA 85c
Ch4 1 x D5 running @ 7v 800mA 85c

This means in theory you could run 2 x D5s and 6 x 370mA fans across the other 2 channels. (i have a flow meter on ch1 which you could theoretically put another 3 fans on)

I did some reconfiguring today.
Ive loaded the 4 D5 pumps onto the controllers and they work a treat!

What an amazing piece of technology!
Reallllly quiet for normal computing and light gaming, but an absolute powerhouse when required. All seamlessly controlled.

I just need to get some Aquacomputer Blue UV additive for the loop to finish the loops and then start buying sleeving stuff to sort the cables.
The left Res is more UV reactant because the loop was running TT UV green and obviously didnt flush as well or maybe even stained the perspex.

Its not that bad! Yeah its not the best quality screen you'll see on fan controllers but its a custom made screen specifically for the A5. I doubt you'll see a screen upgrade as it would be cost prohibitive.
They have crammed as many features in as they can and tried to keep the cost down. I think my setup with all my sensors and addon PA2's was around $700 US including shipping so you wont find many people prepared to pay that for monitor and control equipment.
At the end of the day I only spend less than 2mins a day looking at the screen compared to using the Aquasuite 2012 monitoring. When they finish the Aquausuite and built-in samurize type functionality you'll soon not even look at the screen unless your using it for multimedia control. Im happy enough with the quality for what Im using it for anyway.

In the left column where the Overview Pages is, see the gear icon in the bottom right of the "Page" view. Click that gear to open setting and then enable edit overview page by ticking the checkbox.
Then go back to your "Page" view and you will see a + sign in the bottom right of the display area. Click that to select the sensor values you want to display. Simple. And then save it as a template in the settings screen with export.
The latest Beta 4 and 1012 firmware might help you with curve controller reboots, though I have never had problems with them, there were some updates to curve controllers and PA2 current settings in the latest 1012 firmware.
Included in the aquasuite the firmware update is 1012 for the fifth aquaero This fixes the following bug in the release of the firmware aquaero 5:

In the installation folder there is a aquasuite aquacomputerTimeSync.exe, if that is called, then the time the PC is synchronized to the aquaero.
Theoretically, it is enough if you put a shortcut in the Startup folder. the program closes itself immediately after synchronization

With the delay parameters: [time] [time] = time in milliseconds, the synchronization is delayed, which can be helpful when in Windows, all is not loaded.

I did get LCDHype demo apps going but its a pretty steep learning curve to do anything custom. I dont have time to learn the programming language but im sure some others with time on their hands will do some interesting things.
I even got Hype working with my G19 colour keyboard screen and thats where more of my interest lies now. hmmm.. displaying A5 setting on the G19 in colour.. If AC can make it simple to access the data the A5 is storing this is where I'll be spending my time with Hype.

Sorry what I meant is that I got the demo LCDhype apps running on both the Aquaero 5 LCD and on my G19 screen.
I havent worked out how to get any data out of the A5 database or xml data yet to even attempt putting overview data on the G19 screen. I was making the comment that it will be cool when we have access to the A5 data and be able to use it with LCDhype to create data screens for the G19.

Im hoping some smart little 12 year old script kiddy will work out some cool Hype scripts for the A5 and also hopefully Hype G19 scripts that access xml or A5 database to generate status screens for the G19.
