Help Leakshield not going over 79 mbar

Monday, August 5th 2024, 6:46pm

Hi,
I just replaced the membrane of my leakshield,
as my old coolant has touched it many times,
and the Leakshield was not passing any diagnostic even after cleaning.

It is now all green in dismounted conditions and passes the diagnostic,
but it fails diagnostics when mounted ?!

I refilled the loop with DP Ultra, and the loop is working great.
I tried the "DEAERATE" feature, but the negative pressure does not go over 76mbar.
I tried MONITOR mode, again it fails to go over 73mbar.
I have the ULTITUBE 100 and it is filled at 50%.
I don't see any leak. The coolant level is not going down.
I moved the case to remove bubbles, and the CPU does not heat much.

What should I do now to get the Leakshield to work ?
I'm out of ideas.

Use the test mode to ensure your system ist air tight.

Result below.
Does that look ok ?

It looks like your system is leaking completely.

You may only be able to test the Ultitube. So leakshield on the Ultitube and then seal the connections with a plug.
If this works, you need to find the leak in your system.
If this does not work, the leakshield may have a problem.

So if my system is leaking completely,
that diagnostic (in mounted conditions) does not reflect the reality ?

I also tested in dismounted conditions.
I now see "membrane test: failed".

The membrane is brand new ! I replaced it !
Ok I cleaned it with isopropanol and taping gently with a facial tissue.
Test failed again.

I have a brand new 2nd replacement membrane.
Could it be the 1st replacement membrane was bad ?

You have to narrow down the error. To do this, you first have to see what works and what doesn't.
If the Leakshield does not build up pressure:
1. leakshield defective
2. seal forgotten
3. a leak somewhere

What do the messages on the info (aquasuite) look like?
You must provide all available information. And preferably as precisely as possible.
Remote diagnosis is never easy without knowing the system.

I don't see any info tab in aquasuite.
I removed the seal of course (snap fit).

Could it be the 1st replacement membrane was bad ?
no, every mambrane ist testet.
It is possible that residues from your old coolant have clogged the new membrane.

Replace the mebrane again or try clean your current membrane. Run the pressure test.
