Do I keep my aquaaero 6 XT or move to a quadro

Montag, 2. September 2024, 08:49

Hey guys, currently trying to plan out my new build. Currently running a 9900k/2080ti in a Corsair 1000D, with a 2700x/1050ti system below it. Its a massive pain in the ass having 2 systems in one loop, and a 50kg computer thats surrounded by glass is hard to move to the kitchen for maintenance. But it has my trusty aquaaero in it that I have had since 2017.

The new case is the ROG GR701. It's got a stupid sliding toolkit in it. I have looked at it, and I can remove that, cut a whole in the shroud behind it and mount the aquacomputer in there. But I am also thinking of just buying a quadro and running that instead.

Are there any negatives in moving to the quadro? I plan on adding the NEXT flow sensor to the loop either way

The aquaero is able to run autonomously, meaning without a USB connection or the aquasuite loaded. Particularly useful for Unix, et al.
It also has a built in virtual temperature sensor function.

The quadro requires a USB connection and the aquasuite, but can control an aRGB strip.

If you keep the aquaero, instead of cutting your case to mount it, you may want to consider removing the display (making an aqauero LT), which is much easier to mount.

The QUADRO ist also an autonomous device. USB and the aquasuite software is only required for the configuration and some special features.

If you want to preset the fan speed without regard to the environment.

?(

QUADRO can also control the fan outputs based on the temperature.

Agree, but then you are ignoring the environment.
