ATI R9 290x Connection terminal for SLI/CROSSFIRE using Backplates with Active XCS

Wednesday, October 7th 2015, 8:00pm

Hi there
i'm new to the forum and to AquaComputer... i could not find a help line in English on the site hence i'm in this forum...

Could anyone tell me if there's a Connection Terminal Block for multiple cards (4 (23551) or 5 (23552) slots) with the additional slot for the Backplate with Active XCS (23587) cooling heatpiep to go into the water channels?

Is it possible to order a multiple card Connection Terminal that can work with 2 Backplate with Active XCS for my double ATI R9 290X cards?

Thanks

These two Kryoconnect Kits are active back plate compatible for either 3 or 4 slot separation.

oh cool thanks for the link :)

oh man issue is most of the 16x dual mother boards are 5 slots apart... older ones are 4 slots...

any chance they make a 5 slot connection block that works with ;) Active cooling back plate

Those two were all I saw in their shop.

Shoot an email to customer service at support@aqua-computer.de to see what their plans are.

oh darn, so for the 5 slots apart configuration with active cooling backplates, i will have to have a physical tube connecting both terminals? or run them individually to 2 separate radiators?

If neither of those 2 bridges fit, then yes, you will have to manually connect them.

Which motherboard are you using?

I have Asrock z77 Extreme 9 for a small upgrade to 3.0 with dual 16x rails (this is a 5 rails apart between both cards same as for the Asus P8Z77-V_Premium)

my older Asrock Z68 extreme 7 gen 3 only has 2.0 dual 16x rails *ivy 3770K just makes one rail 3.0. however this is a 4 rails apart between both cards.

Best I can tell looking at the manual, for 2 card SLI, this mobo says use slots 1 & 5, which has 3 unused slots between, and the longest kryoconnect kit has 2 unused slots between.

So, yes, you will need to interconnect the two GPU cards manually, which is not hard to do, and the look can be made to match the rest of your loop.

Not sure if you are looking for a brick & mortar store or if online will do, but Performanse-PCs has Singapore in their country list for shipping, so they may be an option.

Can it take 19/13mm tubing fittings? or are the exit ports too near each other?

Does a Radical 2/280 radiator with copper fin exist?

does aquacomputer make a Radical 2/280 radiator with copper fin? can't seem to find it

The threads of the cupley kryos have a center to center distance of 23.75mm. Unlikely that this will work with fittings for 19mm tubes because I assume the fittings will be even larger than the tubing itself.

I assume the first time you were logged in with your correct address details so the VAT (19%) has been already removed. As said, we have not changed any prices lately.

The airplex radical 2/280 is not availavle with copper fins.

There is no English manual available for it. You can copy/paste the text from German PDF to translate it with Google for example.
