How To Get Paint Off Laminate Floors With No Trace Left Behind

Laminate floors are resistant to stains, and by using the appropriate treatment, you may totally remove the paint. Please keep in mind that laminate flooring has a top glossy sheen that can be destroyed if cleaned with an extremely strong solution. The King Live offers four methods on how to get paint off Laminate floors with no trace left behind.
  • Stripping off
When totally dried, certain paints can be readily manually peeled off. A non-abrasive instrument will be required to strip the paint. Plastic putty knives, or whatever plastic is in the house, are an ideal demonstration.

Set the putty knife at a 45° angle to the ground and push it away from the paint. You may delicately touch the other edge of the craft knife with a tapping bar.

If any remnant remains after removal, wipe it away with a delicate microfiber cloth soaked in a diluted solution of paint cleanser till no trace remains.

  • Window Cleaner with Ammonia
Vacuum the ground to remove any dust or particles that may damage it throughout the cleaning procedure. If the vac left a little debris, use a dust mop to smooth them off.

Fill a sprayer halfway with an ammonia-based window washer and distribute it to the problematic areas. Leave it to absorb the paint. Scrub off the paint using a non-abrasive instrument.
After washing away the majority of the paint, repeat the spraying technique, but this time clean with a delicate microfiber cloth.
  • Making your own solution
The King Live uses rubbing alcohol, vinegar, warm water, and dish cleanser to produce the mixture. A smooth microfiber cloth to avoid friction and scratch on your surface. A bucket for mixing, a dust mop, and rubber gloves to keep the chemicals from eating your hands.

Clean and clear any underlying dirt and particles from the floor with a dust mop.

In a bucket, combine equal amounts of rubbing alcohol, vinegar, and warm water and whisk. Stir with a few splashes of dish soap until well combined.

Dip the delicate microfibre cloth into the mixture and squeeze off any surplus. To minimize the absorption of moisture to the laminate floor, the towel ought to be wet but not totally soaked.

Wipe back and forth across the area. Wash and continue till all of the paint has been removed. Wait a few minutes for the surface to dry prior to walking on it.
  • Nail Polish Remover with Acetone
If your DIY mixture doesn't really appear to be producing the desired effects, you can try an acetone-based nail polish remover. Acetone aids in the removal of paint by softening it and pulling it from your laminate flooring.

Apply the polish remover, let it set for a few moments, and then wipe it away. If it doesn't work the first time, try it again until you're pleased.
The King Live hopes you find our guide on how to get paint off laminate floors helpful.
