Issues w/ AS2012 & controlling devices (AQ5 + PA2s)

Samstag, 3. März 2012, 19:23

Software: AS2012 Beta 13
AQ5 Pro Firmware: 1022
PA2 Firmware: 1033

I have 1 AQ5 Pro and 4 PA2 all connected together.

While I can see RPMs for all PA2 channels in AS 2012 (nothing is connected to the AQ5 Pro) the software shows no default fan power information for any of the channels. If I try to set values nothing will take (e.g., I can't slow the fans down). The weird thing is I know that when I launched AS2012 yesterday it displayed fan titles (e.g., "Fan 1") and default power values though it still did not let me modify them. I might have updated the firmware in between? I've tried to reinstall AS2012 scratch but that does fix the issue. Am I missing something?

The first image below is how things SHOULD be. The second image is what I see most of the time I start up AS2012B13.
I took both screenshots during the SAME day with the SAME hardware. In either situation I'm unable to modify the voltage for the fans. Whatever value I selected doesn't register.

this has happened to me. the software lost comm with the aquaero and hasn't refreshed.

open as2012, unplug the usb for the aq5. you should see a red x. click on the aquero setting icon, click delete device then exit as2012.

restart as2012, then plug the usb back in. you should be back in business.

Well it turned out to be a USB communications issue. Disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable to the same exact ports fixed it.

I really wish AC would work on this issue. It seems to be hitting a ton of people with no rhyme or reason.
