Aquaero 5 Pro (run time 28hrs)
water block (AQ5 temps all <30C)

Fan 1 - DDC T1 (#1)
Fan 2 - 3 * fans
Fan 3 - DDC T1 (#2)
Fan 4 - 6 * fans

Only Fan 3 will provide 12volts @ 100%

Hi Grasshopper,

A small voltage drop is normal for this type of voltage regulator, the higher the load the bigger the voltage drop.

11.8V is quite normal.

Kind regards,
Boris.

not sure i am quite as accepting Boris,
a $1 12 volt ( ie 7812 ) voltage regulator has no problems maintaing 12 volts at the DDC 1T work load of ~900mA,

is it wrong to expect a $150 fan controller to offer normal voltage range.

after 4weeks delay due to stock and a further 3 weeks wait for German and Aus post, should I not feel just a little let down.

Have you checked the input voltage to the Aquaero? With the cheap regulators, the output will be no more than Vin-0.7V, so there is no way you can put 12V in and get 12V out.
