Full Aquacomputer system to cool all components- CPU / GPU with external aquaduct- is this all i need?

Freitag, 22. November 2013, 03:35

Hi guys,
I'm looking to go a full Aquacomputer external cooling system and all the blocks and fittings in order to achieve the following in the same loop.
1. Cool i7 4770K CPU
2. Cool 2 x Radeon 290x GPU's (Reference Cards)
I'm looking for a simple yet powerful all in one solution with low maintenance and good cooling.
Just wanted to check if the following parts would achieve all that (as I will be shipping to Australia and wanted to make sure I get everything in the one shipment)
Parts:
1. External Water cooling system: Aquaduct 720 XT mark V: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=2991
2. CPU- Cuplex Kryos XT for Socket 1150: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=2503
3. GPU #1- Kryographics Hawaii for Radeon R9 290x acryclic glass edition: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=3135
4. GPU #2- Kryographics Hawaii for Radeon R9 290x acryclic glass edition: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=3135
5. GPU #3- Kryographics Hawaii for Radeon R9 290x acryclic glass edition: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=3135
6. Kryoconnect kit for kryographics width 5 slots for 2 or 3 graphics card: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=3001
Few questions given this shopping list:
1. Would this contain all tubing and fittings required to hook up the hoses from the Aquaduct 720 XT mark V to all the waterblocks for CPU, GPUs etc? i.e. to have a fully functioning cooling system cooling all the components.
2. Re the GPU coolers- assuming the VRM cooling etc is taken care of with the full waterblock?
Sorry for all the noob questions.
Ta,

I don't think the Aquaduct 720 XT mark V will be enough for three Radeon 290x GPU's and the i7 4770K. Those graphic cards can get really hot...up to 95°Celsius (203 °F) and you'll have three of them. Besides that, you will have a high water flow resistance due to the water blocks and that tiny pump in the Aquaduct 720 XT is perhaps a little to undersized. Also the not so quiet fans of the Aquaduct would run constantly at medium of high speed, I presume, if the graphic cards have a lot of workload.
I personally would advise you to think about individual parts for that loop. Perhaps a two pump solution for failure safety, with a reservoir, an Aquaero 6 Pro to monitor the loop and to adjust the speed of the cooling fans and the main thing the radiators respectively the size of the cooling surface. You could use the radiators of the airplex modularity system outside of the case as well.

Perhaps an airplex GIGANT radiator would be more fitting for that loop. You could install the reservoir, the Aquaero and the pumps into the GIGANT as well.
