The Aquaero (both 5 & 6) have an output labeled "RMP/Tacho". This output simulates the signal that a CPU Fan generates. So in your BIOS you enable the CPU Fan detection/alarm.
In the Aquaero you can select which items must be present for the RPM/Tacho signal to be generated. This means that you can monitor several things like CPU Temperature, Pump Speed, Fan Speed, Flow, or any other combinations of Aquaero inputs. The Aquaero can be programmed so that if any of these inputs fail, the RPM/Tacho signal stops.
There is also a function in the Aquaero to delay the monitoring (start the RPM/Tacho output upon power up) for a period of time to enable the system to stabilize.
See Sections 4.7 and 18 of this manual.
