Best MPS flow sensor

Samstag, 2. Mai 2015, 10:23

Hello,
I want to add a flow sensor to my Aquaero 6 Pro but I'm a bit lost with various MPS models.
My setup is:
- Core i7 3930K with EK Supremacy Evo waterblock
- EK RF4 mosfet waterblock
- Watercool Heatkiller GPU-X R9 290X full waterblock
- 1 Alphacool XT 45 120mm radiator,
- 1 Alphacool UT60 420mm radiator
- 1 Coolgate G2 240mm radiator
- 13/10 tubing
- Alphacool plugs
- Koolance RP401X2 bay tank
- 2 x Laing 18w PWM pumps in serial

I will run this setup at low PWM duty cycle for pumps noise.
So, do I need a MPS 200 or 400 for this setup and low flow rate accuracy?

Thanks a lot for your help.

What is your target flow rate?

Maybe Martin's Flow Rate Estimator is useful to you.

Good idea!
I've tested it. Spreadsheet have really old components, with quite high restriction but it can help to estimate a bit.
I've read some tests and it I'm looking for 200L/H rate flow, which is a quite common value (1 GPM)
So, MPS 400 would be correct for this.

Thanks a lot

Yes, particularly if you are running both pumps on a single circuit.
