Do software sensors work without the software installed?

Sunday, December 9th 2018, 3:22pm

I'm preparing to take off my GPU fans and use case fans on the card. I think the best setup would be using the software sensors read the GPU temp.

I just wanted to know if I have to have the monitor and aquero software open, installed and set up for this to work. Just in case I format and forget to do the whole aquasuite thing. Is it stored on the aquero itself like the other fan curves or do I have to setup it up again after a format?

If not is it possible to setup more fan curves for the same fans to have a backup curve if the other one doesn't start, in case I forgot to start or install the apps.

Cheers guys
