Direct Die with cuplex kryos NEXT with VISION

I am planning on direct die cooling a 10900k with a cuplex kryos NEXT with VISION. The CPU block as-is doesn't work with the direct die due the deep sockets (circled in the attached photo) at the end of each of the mounting arms. With the stock mounting setup, there is a gap between the die and the CPU block. While it looks like I could break the connection of each of these sockets or grind them off, I'd rather not modify the stock mounting solution. Will the retrofit fit kit 21567 work with the cuplex kryos NEXT with VISION CPU block? The retrofit kit doesn't have the sockets, so I shouldn't have any mounting issues.
