Aquasuite X.31 - GPU power draw

Donnerstag, 31. Dezember 2020, 14:52

Hello, I'm trying to setup my virtual sensors, but I can't find a way to get nay accurate readings for GPU power draw in W. What would be the best way to do so?
I'm using Aida64 for most of the sensors, but the only thing that is available from Aida or Aquasuite is TDP%.

Are you running an Ampere GPU?

I think there was an update from Nvidia or another company which seems to have blocked Aquasuite's and GPU-Z's ability to read power info from my 3090. It worked as you would expect (power given in W) right up until a couple of weeks go.

I wish I would, but I'm still on the queue list for 3080 :)
I'm using EVGA 1070FTW.

Ii used to be an AIDA64 fanboy, but I left them a few years back due to their sad customer support.
I think I had about 18 months left on my license at the time.

I use HWiNFO now, which in my opinion functions better, and Martin's customer service is great. Plus it's FREE!
I can see the GPU power draw, and much more, with HWiNFO, and it works seamlessly with the aquasuite. hwinfo.jpg

You can check to see if HWiNFO has what you need.

460.97 or newer works

Sebastian - Just FYI, 460.97 is just a hotfix rather than a regular driver release. As a result, it is not recognized by Geforce Experience and requires a manual download from the website (not via GFE). Until the fix is incorporated into the main release, all impacted users will be unaware unless they see this post. It might be worth mentioning this in some sort of broader announcement.
