Aquacomputer device compatibility Between products.

Samstag, 15. Januar 2022, 00:58

Are all Aqua computer devices compatible with each other?
I'm having problems finding documentation

I'm especially wondering compatibility between:
D5 Next.
Aquastream Ultimate.
Aquaero 6 XT
High Flow Next, Or other flow/temperature sensors.

I have a number of aquacomputer devices already, Working on some nonstandard setups - extended loop with multiple computers to vent heat out a different room, extending some other non pc watercooling loops.

As mditsch said, the short answer is yes.
If connected by USB, each device in your list will have it's own tab in the aquasuite allowing for full control, and all available data can be shared,
If Connected by aquabus, each device in your list will allow some control and share data through the aquaero

What about for standalone use, or without the aquaero?

Could i connect a high flow next or a high flow sensor directly to a aquastream or d5 next pump without usb? (Ie - no computer / aquasuite)

The D5 NEXT have a combined connector you can use for either fan control or a flow sensor (remember to configure the use of the connector before connecting anything, or you risk damaging your devices). The Aquastream Ultimate has dedicated connector for a flow sensor, as well as a dedicated connector for a temp sensor.
For info the D5 NEXT have a built-in temp sensor as well as virtual flow sensor.

I think Aquabus is an older form of serial communication that has pretty much been replaced by USB connectivity. Most of the more recent products have USB but some still have an Aquabus port. I don't think you can use Aquabus unless you have an Aquaero. Check the owner's manuals to be sure.
