Vision connected to Octo by aquabus?

Is it possible to connect my Aquacomputer vision to the Aquacomputer octo via aquabus?

Which flow sensors can i connect to the octo?

The Aquabus can only be used to connect devices to an Aquaero.
Directly you can connect the high flow 2 and LT to the OCTO, the high flow NEXT is connected via USB to the motherboard and is then visible in the Aquasuite.Oh wait, with this cable you can also connect the high flow NEXT directly to the OCTO.

Would the next not connect to the Vision via a aquabus cable, then both show up in aquasuite?

You connect both via USB to the motherboard.

So the aquabus is only for connecting stuff to the aquero? not between other aqua stuff, ok i get it. Though i don't really see the point of it when there is USB.

I think Aqaubus is an older form of serial communication and has pretty much been replaced by USB connectivity. More recent products usually have USB but some of them still support Aquabus, but if you don't have an Aquaero I don't think you can use Aquabus. Check the owner's manuals to be sure.

Aquabus is useful for Unix systems, where the aquasuite is not supported, to allow communications between an aquaero & other devices (e.g. flow sensor).

My vision keeps losing the sensors? the only display on it that works is the H2o temp which is via the connected aquacomputer sensor via the visions onboard connector. The only way to get the other settings to show again is to restart the aquacomputer service or restart my PC. any reason for this? is it a software error?
Here are some pics of my vision sensor and display setup.
Also if i get an aquero 6, will my EK PWM D5 work ok with it, i heard there are problems with the PWM version.

You can connect them with that cable, but the OCTO will not give a correct flow rate. It's about 3 times higher than actual. I have mine connected that way right now. Look at the options under the flow sensor on the OCTO. It does not have a drop down option for the high flow NEXT.

When I try and select "Aqua Computer high flow (53068 )" as the "Sensor Type" I get a value of 29.89 l/m on the OCTO. The high flow NEXT says the flow is 2.57 l/m. Using another standalone flow meter I get a 2.6 l/m value so the high flow NEXT appears to be correct and accurate.

You have to configure the output signal in the High Flow NEXT!

Thanks! Found the option under "Alarms" "Signal out out" never thought to look under there.
