Glad to hear that you ordered another Octo. I did the same thing a few weeks ago because they were actually in stock in the US, I know that I will use one in my next build, and until then I have a spare on hand. Also, the prices have increased significantly since I purchased my first Octo and I suspect that trend will continue.
I do wonder what happened that would cause your Octo to suddenly have USB communication problems. Did you recently update the OS and/or chipset drivers? Did you add a new USB device, update firmware, add or modify any wiring? Any power outages or surges? Something changed that is causing your problems. I don't see how or why an Octo would suddenly develop this type of problem. Another forum member posted
HERE that after a full power cycle his Octo has stopped responding and seems to be "stuck" on all outputs running at 100%. His Octo is showing up in AQS OK but will not accept or retain any settings. Both incidents are very unusual. I hope that AC support can get your issue taken care of quickly.
