Octo + Next USB overcurrent

Mittwoch, 10. Januar 2024, 17:36

I am building a new system with octo + next and when I plug one or both devices into the usb 2.0 header, my computer will not start due to a usb overcurrent. If I flip them the RGB flashes red and the computer won’t start. I’ve purchased a powered USB 2.0 splitter and it does the exact same thing. I’m not entirely sure what to do minus just removing the either one completely.

Yes. It’s connected via Molex. There are no obstructions or bent pins in any of the USB sockets and I just can’t figure out what’s going on.

maybe a problem with the power supply on the 5 volt

So what do I do here? It happens if either one is plugged in.

It is also easy to plug in the USB2.0 header offset by 1 pin.
