New WC setup (Aquatube G1/4")

Saturday, August 9th 2008, 4:12am

Hey,

I'm about to buy a WC setup to fit in my Cosmos S, but I'm having some questions for witch I cannot find an answer...

My planned setup would look like this:
- Laing DDC-1plus (G1/4")
- PA 120.3 (G3/8") + 3 x Scythe S-Flex SFF21F
- AC poweradjust USB
- AC aquaero OLED + black front
- D-Tek Fuzion v2 (G1/4") (quad core)
- full cover GPU block (G1/4") (high end GPU)
- Chipset block (G1/4")
- AC aquatube + aquabay + black front
- AC flow meter
- AC temp sensor
- AC tubemeter
- fillport
- Tygon tube 9,5mm (9,5x1,6) with O-gasket fittings

I really like the aquatube but there still is no G1/4" version available in black and i am thinking G1/8" will restrict the flow.
I like the G1/8" threads in the aquatube for the temp sensor, tubemeter and fillport but I would really like two G1/4" threads for my WC loop (btw I am putting everything in a single loop and I really think the higher head pressure of the laing ddc is going to make a difference).
I'm thinking an aquatube with 3 x G1/8" and 2 x G1/4" would be ideal, but these don't exsist.

If I use double input and double output I don't have enough room to fir flow meter and tubemeter and led, so that's not an option.
Geometricly it seems to be possible to drill and tap 2 G1/4" threads in the G1/8" aquatube, but this will expose the aluminium and I am thinking this won't do good for corrosion, but I don't have any experience with this.

What do you guys think of:
- preferring laing ddc (+ AC poweradjust USB) to AC aquastream for higher head pressure witch will result in higher flow rates in this single loop system.
- restriction due to G1/8" threads in aquetube witch would result in lower flow rate and my idea of drilling out two holes to G1/8". (and would the O-gasket fittings fit if I do that?)
- Are Scythe S-flex SFF21F and PA 120.3 a good combination and do they combine well with the rest of the system?

Other tips and suggestions are always welcome cause I'm quite new at this....

Greetz,
Stijn

Hi and welcome!

Check out Aqua-Computer-Berlin.de for your black Aquatube G1/4", anodizing the Aquatube in your fav. color costs -additional- 10euro.

Since this Page is only available in german language, you should drop an email for your order... i think.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. I will order a black aquatube G1/4 and all other AC parts for my setup at aqua-comuter-berlin. I sent a mail, but didn't receive a reply yet. Hope they are not on holiday because I would like to order as quick as possible...

With the aquatube problem out of the way, what do you guys think about the rest of my setup? Any remarks?

Mail was first sent on monday.
Today I sent it again and got a reply 'reply comes earliest friday evening'.
So I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer.
