Hove many fans can aquaero supports ?

Freitag, 13. Mai 2005, 19:24

I have 14 fans in my computer. Can I use aquaero to control all fans ?

Which equipment do I need so aquaero can support further then 4 fans?

:)

My favorite question to ask in the Emergency Room when people come in drunk is: How many drinks? And they always answer 2! And my next question is and how big were those drinks?

And how big are those fans? There is a 5 watt limit to each channel, but I have "heard" that it can be exceeded up to about 7 watts. So if you have fans that take 2 watts you could conceivably us 2-3 fans on each channel

i'm building a new rig atm. i got a black u2-ufo optimax
this is the bare ally version as its a better picture i went with this in the end, as it only had 5 x 120mm fans & 3 80mm fans.
i wanted the extra drive bays over the extra fans. i didnt want to load a pc so i'm planing to only use the 2 front 120mm fans & the 2 top 120mm fans.
but i have installed all the fans and will see how it runs before connecting them, if i do connect them i was planning
to have them connectioned via just a internal temp monitor
so when its really really hot they come on.
and only have the main 4 fans connected the the aquaero.

Well I think I would divide them up so you don't exceed the wattage per channel. You still will only have 4 fan channels to use, but if you are creative it will be okay. Also remember you have 6 temp sensor headers and you can program a particular set or sets of fans to do a particular thing depending on the parameters you have set for that sensor.

BTW, nice looking box!

I hope for better control ;)

The AC-expansion buses give me opportunity of connection of further fan-channels. How and the limits?
