Aqua Lighting LED mod for the Aquatube

Sonntag, 15. Mai 2005, 13:24

hi is it just me or is the Aqua Lighting LED mod for the Aquatube very loose inside? It fits in perfectly but theres nothing to push in to make sure its in place... you need to apply very little (if any) pressure to get it out. Am i missing something or should i use some sort of selotape etc.??

Thanks Ed

you are right. i personally, fixed the problem with a littlebit glue, because while the first try with tape, the led has loosen himself, because of the heat

A dab of clear RTV also works well. :)

sort of on the same subject:

how did everyone else tighten the plexi inserts into the aquatube? cos there's nothing on it to help you grip it, as far as i can see..

i just used my hands yer there is no other way unless you use plyers but i think its should be secure enough by just hand tightening it

Ever tried to put a round peg in a square hole?

yes and it's fine if you make the sides of the square equal the diameter of the round peg :P

True, but then the LED light would probably be going in places you didn't intend it to...

why?

if you make the hole so it's a tight fit, as they are now, there shouldn't be any problems. you can always use:

Zitat

A dab of clear RTV
