Need some help with what i should buy.

Donnerstag, 1. Dezember 2005, 21:50

Hello.
First of all i will tell you that iam from sweden and my english is not the best, but i hope you understand.

I use water cooling right now, but i will now upgrade it some.

I use a Eheim 1046 Aquastream and a couple of waterblocks, but now to my question,
here is what i plan to order:

aquaero 4.00 USB Fan-Controller, VF-Display 139.00
internes USB-Anschlusskabel 70 cm 2.99

Anschlusskabel for Durchflusssensor (for aquaero) 2.99
aquaero Durchflusssensor without fittings 23.99
Multi-Color Illumination module BLUE/RED 7.90

aquabus Kabel for tubemeter 3.99
tubemeter USB 29.90

Anschlusskabel aquabus/Tacho f. aquastream Retail 2.90

what should i use to connect the aquastream to the aquaero?
is it possible to use both tubemeter and aquastream to aquaero and connect it to aquabus?

i was also planning to buy 2 Aqua Aquaero - Water Temp Sensor but i dont find it in the store, anyone knows why?

What fittings should i use with the aquaero Durchflusssensor?

and the last question, do you see anything that i have forgot in my order to connect it, like cables and stuff like that.

Thanks for the help.

You won't need "Anschlusskabel aquabus/Tacho f. aquastream Retail". The right cable for a connection between the Aquaero and the Aquastream is "aquastream Verbindungskabel (ab Rev. 1.5) 10cm".

I have no idea how to find it within the categories. Below "Hersteller" you can see a dropdown menue. Click on it and choose Aqua-computer. The you will get a list with all products including the cable and temperaturesensors.

Maybe you want to use the shop of AC Berlin. It's much easier to handle :)

You can connect the Tubemeter and the Aquastream without any problems because the Aquastream uses an other connector.

You will also need two G1/4 fittings for the flowmeter.

I highly recommend that you get the plug n cool inline sensor to measure the temperature of the water. This temperature is ideal to control the power of the fans.

Hello.

Thanks for the help, now i have one question more,
i think that my pump is not so good is it possible to buy
the Eheim 1250 (Version Deutschland) and connect it
to the aquaero?

I guess that pump is much better.

And thanks again for the help.

No, the only pump you can connect is the Aquastream. By the way: you can "overclock" it to get a higher flow. This is a normal function and won't void the warranty.

Aha okey.

how about the "overclock"?
what do i have to do to make it happen, ans what flow is it possible to get with it at max?

thanks

Re: Need some help with what i should buy.

Overclocking means that you rise up the frequency. The controller is able to generate a signal with a frequency between 42 and 74Hz. The higher the frequency, the higher your flowrate is ;)

The default value is 47Hz.

As an examle: I achieve 33 l/h with 47Hz while I get 57 l/h with 74Hz. That's an enhancement of around 70%!

You can control the frequency directly with the Aquaero or the Aquasuite software.

Okey i see.

Then i will try that when i have ordered my stuff.

You realy helped me out here, if i got any more problem then
i will post it on this forum, very good answers and fast too.

Thanks again for the help and thanks for this forum.

Bye for now.

does the pump get louder though if you overclock it? (louder than the ehiem 1048 )? thanks

Re: Need some help with what i should buy.

Freitag, 2. Dezember 2005, 20:25

It might be a little bit louder but this depends on how good you uncouple the pump from your case. If you have a few minor vibrations they will sound a bit higher.

Altogether the difference is very small.

shoggy: is the way you showed some time back with the foam, the best way to mount the pump in the fmj?

cheers

Iam planning to change to plug&cool in my watersystem,
so my question is what fittings should i use with my
Aquastream (Eheim 1046)?

and is it possible to connect the plug n cool inline sensor
direct to my aquatube?
and what fittings plug&cool should i use with my aquatube?

and i need some "plugs" to Multi-Color Illumination module BLUE/RED so that i can connect it to my aquatube?

thanks.

Mr_modnaR, I would say yes ;D Very silent and cheap solution if you want to use the FMJ anyway.

Isaksson, all AC products excepting the radiators and the flowsensor are using G1/8. For the Aquastream you will need the adapter-set.
To use the PnC inline sensor with your Aquatube you will need a normal connector where you can plug it in. Or you could use a t-connector.

The adapterset is the same as these right?

Adapter Eheim 1046 Druckseite mit Dichtung
Adapter Eheim 1046/1048 Saugseite mit Dichtung

and with these adapters then i could connect the
G1/8 to the adapters?

and by the way what means "mit Dichtung"
with?

Thanks
