Connect the aquastream

Hello.

I have a old aquastream on the front the name is not aquacomputer it says "Mist"
but when i read the manual for it it says that i could connect it to a aquaero and i have an aquaero-bridge connector.

the first time i connect it to my aquaero then the oump just started for like 1-2 sek then turnd of then started again.
so i disconnected it and connected the power back to the aquastream, and then i started the computer and fixed some stuff in aquasuite.

and when i try to use the aquaero-bridge now the pump doesent start at all.

any ides?

and by the way i should not have the power connected to the aquastream when i use the aquaero-bridge, right?

Right.

The Pump or Controller is named "Mist" ??? Can you take a photo? Do you know the version of your controller?

Can you please post a screenshot of the aquadrive side, where it is listed and named?

As you can see on the picture, your aquastream-controller is a revision 1.0, did you buy the right cable? I'm not quite sure, but I think, the version 1.0 isn't aquaero-capable, yet, you need a new controller or sent your controller to AC to get an update (6,00 Euro + all shipping costs) :-/.

but if i cant connect it to aquaero why is there a aquaero-bridge, and in the manual to my aquastream:

In the case the aquaero and the aquastream are connected via a 10-pin flat cable...all data of the pump can be supervised and monitored on the aquaero.

so thats not true?

The aquaero wasn't available, when the AS was released. Since Aquaero Version 1 they startet two more tries with whole new Hard- and Software(Firmware)-Layouts - so when the first aquaero (Rev. 3.07) was released, the aquastream-Controller-Firmware wasn't up-to-date anymore :-/.

I have the wrong cable i have this one
aquastream Verbindungskabel (ab Rev. 1.5) 70cm

thats no good,
does anyone knows whats the diffrense between that cable and the one for Rev. 1.0?

It might be, that version 1.0 will work with the aquaero (with the right cable of course) - that's the problem: I can't remember it precisly (there was anything with version 1.0 :'().

The diference with two cables was that one pin isn't connected, you can use one of the cables with every controller, but don't ask me which one - lets wait for someone who can remember better than me :-[.

aha okey.
so rev 1 only use 9 connection and the other revs uses all 10 connections.

well if i rebuild this cable 10 times then i quess it could work, but thats the hard way.

or maybe something already is broken when i first tryed with the cable for rev 1.5.

AFAIK the controller must have at least firmware version 1.04 if you want to use it with your Aquaero.

and how does i find out my firmware version?

what do you think is the best for me to do?

I don't know the shipping costs to germany (for updating) and back to your town but I think a new controller would be the best choice.

this is what iam planning to buy
aquastream Controller Platine 3.5 (ohne Pumpe)

If i later wanna use 2 pumps in my system how do i connect two pumps to the aquaero?

I am not Shoggy, but here's the answer ;D:
There is a cable with 3 instead of two connectors, so you can connect two Controllers. You need at least one controller of revision 3 or 3.5 to change the adress of this controller (via jumper) :D.
