A5 with PA2 Bug

Montag, 30. Mai 2011, 14:19

Im not sure if this is a bug or a limitation of the PA2 with an A5.

The A5 can control a device by voltage only just fine. That is, the A5 can control one of my D5s without an RPM signal by voltage. However the PA2 cannot and defaults to max volts no matter what I do with it in minimum/maximum volts or rpm or percentage in the assigned controller.

Can someone from AC please confirm?

Cheers

Found the answer for myself.

I hooked the PA2 upto usb for a look with the old aquasuite 4.72 and noticed the startup boost parameter "active when no speed signal is measured" was checked. This is missing from Aquasuite2012.
By turning this off while connected to USB and reconnecting to A5 via aquabus I was able to then adjust the D5 by voltage without an RPM signal!

Can you please add this parameter to a later version of 2012 and maybe also to the firmware of the A5???

Cheers!

Our programmer will have a look into that.

update: talked to our programmer. It's not a bug, it's a feature ;) He knows about that and has left it this way because of the following scenario: when your aquabus or aquaero does not operate correctly you can make sure that the pump is running. So you will have to disable it via USB like you did.
