Looking for a smaller aquacomputer pump - but which one?

Hi,


I work at a biotech company in Oxford and we currently use the Airplex modularity system - 240 mm copper radiator with an integrated D5 pump ( https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_inf…roducts_id=3210) to water cool the camera in our product. We also have two fans mounted on top of the radiator.


However, after doing some tests we suspect this is very much overspecced for how much heat the camera is putting out and something smaller would be better.


Ideally we would go with the 140mm radiator with and integrated pump (https://shop.aquacomputer.de/index.php?cPath=7_31_838_855_856) , however, this model only has aluminium fins, not copper, and the heat exchanger in our camera is brass. The copper radiator only comes in the 240mm size, not 140mm.


I am not all that hot on my water coolers but if anyone could help me out it would be a huge help:


1. Am I correct in saying the 140mm aluminium radiator in a circuit with the brass heat exchanger is a bad idea and would cause galvanic corrosion?
2. Can I purchase or combine some products to end up with a 140mm copper radiator with an integrated pump?
3. Or, am I better off going with a different pump and reservoir, say, this one: https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=3848 , and connecting it to separate small radiator with tubes, for example this one: http://hardwarelabs.com/nemesis/gts/140gts/

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes that would be a bad decision if you dont use any anti corrosives. BUT! The Airplex Modularity is not made of aluminium - only the fins. every part that has contact with the fluid is either stainless steel or copper.
The shop states that if you wish you can get them with the copper fins. I would suggest you write an E-Mail to the support, they can work with you to find the right product!

I personally think having the 240mm is best since you'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it when it comes to a heat exchanger otherwise you risk something smaller getting too heat saturated which those single small rads are known as such but if the product you're cooling is less than 100w, than I guess the 140mm should be fine. In the custom cooling PC world, we usually say 120mm per 100w-150w.
