Farbwerk and usb questions

Wednesday, September 2nd 2015, 11:21pm

It dont say in specs on the Farbwerk usb, so I will ask here.

1) Does it use usb 2 or 3?

2) Can I chain 2 or more Farbwerk on 1 internal usb contact?

3) Can I use an adaptor to plug a Farbwerk into a normal usb (not internal)?

4) Can I use an adaptor to plug a Farbwerk into the other usb version? From 3 to 2 or 2 to 3.

Yes, my build is large enough that I need more then 1 and my motherboard only has 2 internal usb contacts left (one usb 2 and one usb 3).

Links to the parts I have in mind:

The farbwerk is a USB 2.0 device but of course it can be also used with USB 3.0 (the linked adapter seems to be OK).

You can not connect two controllers to one contact. That is not possible in general for any USB device. You will have to use a USB hub like this one for example.

There is no problem to connect the device to an external USB connector by using an adapter.

I am not sure about your fourth question. As said the farbwerk is a USB 2.0 device and will also run on a USB 3.0 interface of course.

Thanks.

Yeah, I just asked all the questions to be sure I could find something that worked.
