RGBpx PicoBlade cable PSA

I erroneously assumed (yes, that error) the aquacomputer RGBpx PicoBlade cable pin-out followed the Molex PicoBlade off-the-shelf cable assemblies.

They do NOT!

The aquacomputer RGBpx connectors are inverted, the Molex are not. PicoBlade_Cable.jpg

It would have been nice to have additional cable options, but not to be.

AQ RGBpx cables are JST 1,25mm 4-pin connectors available via aliexpress and wide range of DIY electronics stores.

I made the post so others would not fall to the same folly as did I.

Due to a slight case of hand tremors, self crimping would not be for me, but I could easily build a cable with 2 housings and 4 same length pre-crimped leads from the selection offered. Just be sure to get the pin-out correct.
