Annoying problem with activation issues

I have purchased several Aquacomputer products, the last of which was a Leakshield. Sadly, I was displeased with the performance of the device and decided to remove it from my loop and I'll only use it to fill my loop, then disconnect it again.
Aquasuite recently updated, and because my Leakshield gave my PC and all my devices activation support until December 2026, I didn't think anything of activation problems. However, apparently because I don't have it plugged in anymore (because it was nothing but a headache in regular operation) apparently my program is no longer activated.
This is a major nuisance for me. I don't want to hook up my Leakshield whatsoever during regular use. If I can't use the software that I have a paid license for unless I keep the Leakshield connected at all times, well, this is a major problem.
There should be an update that addresses this ASAP so that registered and activated device licenses don't require the product to remain connected at all times.

In the here and now, how can I downgrade to the previous install version so I can get control my devices that were just working fine days ago?

use the setup from the download section:
https://aquacomputer.de/software.html

To activate your software, simply connect the Leakshield once via USB to activate it.

I connected my Leakshield and let it reactivate, and now disconnected it. I hope it will remain activated until the next version update without any issues. Thankfully I had the forethought to purchase a 200cm USB-A to Pico connector for Aquacomputer devices so I can just plug it into my external USB ports for a quick activation and disconnect. It would be really troublesome to rely on the internal USB headers only for connecting the device temporarily.
