I recently purchased a QUADRO directly from Aqua Computer, but it is showing some strange behavior. One of the main advantages of the QUADRO — not having to worry about the stress of high fan RPM during system startup — has unfortunately disappeared.
Symptoms

1. When I start the system, all four fans connected to the QUADRO run at 100%. The fans also briefly ramp up to 100% when shutting down the system.
2. At first, I suspected this might be related to a virtual sensor, so I changed the control sensor to the QUADRO's actual physical Sensor 1. However, the same issue occurs.
3. The fans only return to the fan curve I configured after I manually load the saved profile in aquasuite. However, I have to repeat this every time I start the system.
4. Interestingly, when I restart the system rather than performing a full shutdown and startup, the fan settings are applied correctly without having to manually load the profile.

Things I have tried

1. Reconnected the USB cable between the motherboard and the QUADRO.
2. Reinstalled the latest version of aquasuite.
3. Reset the QUADRO to its factory/default settings.
4. Set Fallback Power In to 30%, but this did not resolve the issue.

At this point, I am not sure whether there is something wrong with the QUADRO I received or whether this is a software-related issue.
I have also contacted Aqua Computer by email, but I have not received a response yet.
I found a forum post from another user whose situation seems very similar to mine. However, I currently cannot tell how they solved the problem, if they were able to solve it at all.

Fans stuck at 100%


Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on what might be causing this?





(When system started, I just meet this aquadsuite quadro page. The “Use start boost” option is always enabled again when I start the system, even if I disable it before shutting down.)

I’ve obviously switched off the PSU myself while rebuilding the PC as well. I did recently have a Windows update, so if that turns out to be the cause, that would be quite a headache.

must not be your problem, but..

sometimes I must switch my PSU off and after some seconds again on.

For me it happens most after Windows / Nvidia updates.
seems my motherboard needs a full cold restart to connect all things correctly again.

I am curious - Did you figure out what the problem is or get in touch with Aquacomputer support? Also, what fans are you using? The person who seemed to have the same problem in 2022 at the link you posted never said whether he got his Octo working or replaced. He did post a second thread complaining that no one from Aquacomputer responded to his original post.
This is not a support forum and there is no guarantee that you will get a response from Aquacomputer here. If the problem persists, your best bet is to email them. They do have an Official Support sub-Reddit under r/Watercooling, and they are pretty good about responding to posts there. Here is the LINK

I’ve already contacted Aqua Computer by email, but I haven’t received a response yet. I’ll also try posting in their official support subreddit as you suggested.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to determine the exact cause of the problem. I’m currently using both Noctua and be quiet! fans, and I don’t think the fans themselves are causing the issue since all four behave exactly the same way.

Just an update on my situation:

Something unexpected happened today. After updating my AMD chipset driver and reconnecting the QUADRO, it stopped working completely.

It is no longer detected by aquasuite or even by Windows as a USB device. The fans connected to the QUADRO do not spin, and there is no activity from the Status LED.

I also tested it with only the Molex power connected, with the USB cable and all fans disconnected, but there was still no response from the QUADRO.

At this point, I believe the QUADRO itself may have developed a hardware failure.
