Confused on how to TEST AquaComputer LeakShield

samedi 21 février 2026, 11:23

Hey all,

I'm lost. This is my first watercooled system. The AquaComputer manuals tend to be very brief in terms of the info they provide. Forum posts seem to refer to negative pressure and filled loops, which doesn't apply in my case...

I've been following Linus' video on the LeakShield. During the TEST segment, his LeakShield seems to pressurize (seemingly in one go) to 400+ mBar. When I performed the TEST on mine, it pressurizes to around 300 mBar,
then stops pressurizing and drops at a rate of -2.4 mBar/min to around 0 mBar before starting over. It does this a few times and the TEST ends. No beeping, no warning, nothing. Keep in mind I only have the LeakShield plugged
in, no pump. I assume the pump should not be running on an empty loop.

Is this normal? Is assume I have a leak somewhere... If I do, how do you recommend I figure out where the leak is coming from? I only have hard pipes in my loop and I don't really have extras... I'm thinking to do the old trick of
putting soap-water on the fittings and seeing if any bubbles form...
