RGB Header on Aquaero 6: Can it Control RGBpx Devices with some sort of adapter?

Sonntag, 20. April 2025, 08:01

The entire question is pretty much in the header.

Can we use the RGB header on the Aquaero 6 to do anyhting beyond just controlling the one single RGB Illumination Module (art no. 34930)?

Appreciate any input.

hmmm seems not, from the manual.
It's analog RGB, one ground and 3 different voltages for the usual 3 colors. Basically it is for directly connecting between 1 and 3 individual LEDs, and not for strips.
And it's definitely not digital RGB.
So if you want to control anything ARGB or rgbpx, you'll need a farbwerk360 or using the header of other controllers that have an rgbpx connection.

That's what it sounded like from my own reading, but I wanted to make sure just in case.

I'm not even much of a fan of LED lighting for computers, but I was toying with the idea of using it for some sort of status indicator, but I'd need more and bigger output than just the single RGB Illumination Module (art no. 34930) could provide.

Thanks for the confirmation.

The farbwerk360 has an aquabus connection, but the manual says there's no compatible device as of 2020. no idea if the Aquaero can do anything with it today
