Ubuntu und die Zeit...

Bei der Installation von Ubuntu kommt man ja irgendwann zur Einstellung der Zeit. Das ist immer irgendwie etwas verwirrend. Jedenfalls hab ich diesmal wieder ne falsche Einstellung gewählt, sodass die Zeit in Ubuntu zwar korrekt, aber unter Windows 2 Stunden vor geht.

Was muss ich unter Ubuntu tun, damit nicht immer die BIOS-Zeit "verstellt" wird?

Du musst einstellen, dass die Hardware-Uhr auf Lokalzeit steht und nicht auf GMT. AFAIK ist Windows da ein bisschen unflexibel und kennt nur die eine Einstellung.

During the install I did Ubuntu seemed to assume I wanted my hardware clock to keep UTC rather than local time. Since I sometimes boot into Windows, I need the latter. The fix is to change UTC=yes to UTC=no in /etc/default/rcS , set the clock to the correct time (with date --set), and then run /etc/init.d/hwclock.sh restart.
