MSI Starspeed D16 - nur PIO-Mode?

Ich habe eine max. Geschwindigkeit mit 2x. Doch 16x sollten schon drin sein. Dazu müsste ich es im DMA-Mode fahren.

Aber wie?

Erzähl doch erstmal, was das Starspeed überhaupt ist, das habe ich noch nie gehört.

Im Gerätemanager auf IDE-Controller klicken, Eigenschaften, eine Registerkarte nach rechts und "DMA-wenn verfügbar" auswählen (neustarten nicht vergessen :

)

Das ist ein DVD-Laufwerk.

Den Secondary-IDE-Controller hab ich auf DMA, wenn verfügbar gestellt und neugestartet. Aber der aktive Modus bleibt PIO4.

Ich habe das DVD-LW von Sec.Slave auf Sec.Prim gemacht, und den CD-Brenner auf Sec.Slave. Auf einmal laufen beide Kanäle mit DMA-Modus ... Windows ist schon sehr komisch.
