Typ1 or Typ2?

Donnerstag, 29. Mai 2003, 12:30

If that doesn't come out right and some of you can speak English, this might be easier to understand.

Hello, I don't speak German so I have converted this with Altavista's Babelfish.
I am really stuck on which block I need for my Northbridge. It is for a Granite Bay (Asus P4G8X). My local distributor can order them for us but we are not sure which one we need out of the Typ1 or Typ2.

Thanks for any help in advance.

hi and welcome to the AC-Forum!
there has not been released a version of the Twinplex for Granite Bay yet! but AC will present o special one in the next weeks! that special version will base on the ordinary Twinplex for chipset and graphics, but it includes another "BLENDE" - the piece of alloy with that you fix the cooling-unit on your board! so be patient and wait for the next two weeks! I hope I could help you! my english is not perfect but I think one can understand the contense! ;D

If you don't want to wait any longer, you can attach the twinplex (this is the cooler which can be used for your northbridge) with thermally conductive adhesive (or whatever it is called). This is not a perfect solution, but as I said, you don't have to wait. ;)

As far as I can see that on the pictures of the Asus Board,it looks to be most likely the same fittings than on the Abit Canterwood Board. Therefore the twinplex CP4-Typ 1 should fit, because I´m using it on the MSI Neo and on the Abit Board and ist works out pretty good
