New Aquaero 5 Pro owner

Hello everyone,
I recently ordered Aquaero 5 Pro, 1 poweradjust, 1 flowmeter and 2 temp sensors.
Besides the sensors I will be controlling a bunch of fans and a MCP35X pump.
Are there any instructions/tutorials on setting everything up? (in English)
Also, does anyone know how quick does Aquatuning generally ship orders? When I look at yesterday's order it says "Order status:In WW importiert" Not sure what that means....

Welcome.

Not much documentation. It's all quite straightforward once you start experimenting with aquasuite. If you post back here I'm sure you'll get answers as well. You'll want to put your mcp35x on the 4th fan header (the only pwm one) and switch the port to pwm mode in aquasuite. You can then set up a curve controller (or set point, fixed output or whatever) in the software and assign the output as the PWM output. I'd suggest if you want to control pump speed dynamically, consider doing what I do:

1. Have software sensors for CPU, GPU1....GPUN (so you bring in values from Open Hardware Monitor or AIDA64 running on the PC)
2. Have a virtual sensor that calculates the maximum of the values from (1), I call mine "hottest waterblock"
3. Have a virtual sensor that calculates the difference between the water temperature and the "hottest waterblock" temperature from (2)
4. Control the pump off a curve from the delta-t value in (3)

It does use up 2 of your 4 virtual sensors, but it's the only sensible way I can see of controlling pump speed. Doing it from loop temperature doesn't really make any sense, since the flow rate isn't cooling the water, it's cooling the blocks, so what you really want to know to control the pump speed is how much hotter the blocks are than the water, and if they are a lot hotter then the pump needs to be working harder to get that heat into the water, if they are not much hotter than the water then not much flow is needed as there's no energy to remove from the blocks.

Note that the PWM35x has a PWM response curve that starts picking up at about 20% pwm, then by about 60% pwm it's maxed out. All the change in pump speed takes place in that 20% to 60% range, so you'll want to set a minimum speed that corresponds to about 20% pwm, then manually fiddle the curve, so for example if you want 100% pumping speed at a 20 degree block-water delta, then your curve needs to hit 60% at that 20 degree delta, not 100%, since nothing happens after 60% or so. Either Martin or Skinnee graphed the response curve in their mcp35x review - I can't remember which site it was but it's quite easy to find.

Fans, you'll want to control from the more commonly used "delta t", the delta between the water and air.

By the way, depending on the restictiveness of your loop, you may want to bump your minimum pwm on the 35x up a little to get a good base flow rate. Mine goes down to 1400rpm at 0% pwm and up to about 4200rpm at 100%, giving from 0.2 to 1 usg per minute of flow. I bump the minimum to about 2000rpm (at about 30% pwm if I remember rightly) to give about 0.4gpm, that way I can have a flow alarm at 0.2gpm that shuts down the PC and not risk it tripping as a false positive.

In any case, if you get lucky, you'll be like me and get a very quiet 35x that doesn't really need speed controlling anyway, but I do it for pump life regardless.

The aquacomputer high flow meter can be very noisy (ticking noise of the impeller rotating) when it first arrives like mine was - if it is, give it a few days of constant flow to run it in, mine has quieted down to the point of being totally silent, I think they need to wear in a bit. You also need to know that the stock calibration value in the software for the flow meter is wrong for most peoples tubing - mine shipped with 256 set (either that or that setting is in the aquasuite software rather than the pump itself, I'm not sure), which must be correct for small-bore aquacomputer tubing, and I know other people have had the same problem as me - it will under-report flow by a large margin if you have bigger tubing. The correct calibration value for 1/2" ID tubing is 158, and for 7/16" it's 169 (again from a Martin or Skinnee review, but I can't remember which)

Thank you Boris, for that detailed explanation. I do have 7/16 ID hose so knowing that value will be very helpful! I read Martin's review, I will look up Skinnee's as well.
Today a lot of new build parts including case and the A5 should be delivered, hope to start digging into the Aquasuite soon.
Looking forward to finally having a controller as functional as the Aquaero seems to be.

Does there exist a pic or listing somewhere (in English) that shows what each connection on the poweradjust ultra is? I mean the power in and temp probes are obvious but beyond that I'm not sure.
