Firts water cooled PC advice

Mittwoch, 12. September 2007, 08:07

I'm embarking on my first water cooling rig and I have most of my components already picked out. I'm going to be buying almost everything from aqua computers and need some advice and how many and what kind of radiators I should buy.

Components being water cooled are:
Q6600 G0 and Evga 8800 Ultra.

I would ideally like to be able to overclock a decent amount with this water cooling setup.

Components picked so far are:

Aqua computer aquastream 1046 pump:

Aqua computer aquatube reservoir:

Aqua computer aquabay:

Aqua computer aquaero LCD display:

Aqua computer Cuplex XT double impact waterblock:

Aqua computer aquagraFX for 8800gtx - This should fit on the ultra just fine right?
http://www.sharkacomputers.com/aqcoaq88gtx.html

All of these will have Nickel Plated Straight Compression Fittings for use with mm ID x 8mm OD Tubing.

What I am wondering right now is what kind and how many radiators should I have in this setup. I have a Lian-Li V1200B Plus case from performance PCS with the addition of a 120mm blowhole. I really don't care out where I have to put the radiators. I was thinking of running two Black ice stealth GT 120's in the top blowhole and in the back exhaust spot. There is also the from intake near the HD bays. I'm not going to cool my MB with water so i would still like to have some air going through the PC. I also have a corsair 620W PS and Abit IP35-Pro MB. Is the price for all of this equipment going to be worth it in terms of performance compared to air cooled?
