D5 Pump problem

Montag, 10. Februar 2014, 21:31

Hi
Recently there buys two Aquacomputer D5 Pump Motor with USB and Aquabus Interface. One of them can connect it without problem to the interface Aquabus, another pump I cannot connect it to the interface Aquabus following all steps (first to connect for usb, to select priority aquabus, to select free channel, shutdown the PC, connecting cable to the high channel aquabus).

Another problem that I have, is the low flow of the system. Only 117 l/h, working both pumps to 100 % of power. Another question is that the pump that I cannot connect to the interface aquabus to 100 % of power does low noise and another pump to do a high noise to 100 % of power. Both with the aquasuite 2014 1.3. I see 4700/4900 rpm. Is it normal?. Are pumps defective?, some suggestion?. Sorry for my english, translator google

My configuration for the loot is the following:

2x Aquacomputer D5 Pump Motor with USB and Aquabus Interface
2x Koolance Radiator 4x120 30FPI
1x Reservoirs Koolance RP 452X2
1x Asus Formula VI
1x Koolance CPU-380
1,8m tubing Koolance 19/13
2x Quick disconnects QD3
6x Adapter 90º
2x Adapter 45º

Thank you

If you can control the power of both pumps when they are connected via USB and priority set to USB, then both of them should be ok, the problem must be with your connections to the Aquaero. Are you using a splitter to plug both of your pumps to the High Aquabus interface ? Also, before setting priority to the Aquabus, did you assign two different address to your pumps (12, 13) ?

As for the flow, it seems a little low, from my experience, the quick disconnect fittings are pretty hard on a flow rate, but still... What kind of fluid are you using ? Some time ago, I used some Feser fluid in a high restriction loop and I was having pretty low flow rate. The moment I replaced the stuff with a good old distilled water mix, i saw a big improvement in my flow rates (I can not tell how much since I only had a spinning wheel at that time to monitor my fllowrate, but the rotations seemed to almost double). Right now I'm running 187L/h with one EK Supremacy, one EK full GPU block, one 360mm rad (Feser), the AQ High flow meter (non USB) and two ugly QD3 with one AQ USB D5 at full speed (3/8 ID tubing for the loop). Before adding the two QD3 to this loop, I was hitting 210L/h...

Hope this help!
