Replacement screws

Mittwoch, 12. Februar 2014, 08:30

I purchased an aquatube from frozencpu and while assembling the product I found that I am missing 1 M4x8mm screw and 1 M4x12mm screw. I searched high and low for these screws thinking they slipped away into the carpet. Upon further investigation I found that the baggy that was holding the screws had a clean slice in it. I did not use a knife to open this package. Truthfully I'm not too bothered about it considering replacement screws would be cheap and easy. If only it was truly easy. I really don't want to go through all the loops and hoops of returning the product to just get another.

I am trying local hardware shops but I live in a small town and my options are limited. I've got 1 more store left in town before this option has exhausted itself. I've been scouring the inter web in hopes but it's hard pinpoint an exact replica. I believe I've found their equivalents on aquacomputer but it would cost approx $47 to ship a couple screws to America...

Maybe an admin or fellow Aqua user can point me in the right direction of an American retailer who supplies these.

I like the hex look that Aquacomputer has going and wouldn't want to change this. It also matches my aquaero and poweradjust and I wouldn't want to purchase more screws just to reset the whole look. I thought countersunk would look good but the predrilled holes aren't drilled for them.

Thanks for any advice/info given to help me out.

Give http://www.fastenal.com/web/home a try. They have a good selection when it comes to metric stuff.

Hey, thanks for the info. I actually found some from McMaster, they gave out the head dimensions and everything seems to match with what came with the aquatube. Unfortunately they only came in a 25 pack so I'll probably be selling them on ebay in the near future. Haha.
