On my curve controllers the red line is on the startup temperature.

"Start-up temperature", meaning to the left of the bar the controller ignores the curve and is at zero out, and for temperatures to the right of the bar it follows the curve?

Or does it maintain power out at the level on the curve where it intersects for values below the intersection?

Probably the first scenario.

It's missing on your pic, but when it's set to manual it should show an option for start up temperature. Since I use air/water delta which in some conditions may actually be zero or below, I set mine to -1*, and that is where the red line is on my graphs.

Ahhh, I see now... I had just used automatic and not seen the manual side.

Thank you.

Great! I thought that might be why. I never used the Automatic feature.

The Startup temp is only the temp set that the fans will initially start at. So, on powerup the fans will not run til startup temp is hit, after that the curve controller is followed, including if the sensor falls below startup temp.

Yep, that's the way it works. Once when my sensors calibration drifted off, a bank of fans didn't start and it took a bit to realize what happened.
