Aqualis Reservoir and D5 Top Flow Direction

Aqualis Reservoir and D5 Top Flow Direction

I have an 880ml aqualis base res without the fountain option and a D5 top for my D5 pump.

I know how to connect them together and what holes should be plugged or blocked off. I am concerned how the fluid flows in and out of the reservoir. At full speed, I barely see any fluid being pumped into this res and fluid being pulled from the res. How does this work with one inlet hole at the bottom with four holes inside the reservoir? There is very little movement within this res and it has me concerned.

This variant of the base has no waterfall effect. There is only a bypass from the pump adapter to the reservoir so water is not directly routed in or from the reservoir which is also the reason why you do not see much movement here.

For the waterfall effect from the stand-alone variants you will need this version of the base. It is also possible to convert a regular base variant with this kit.
