Aquaero 6 fan controller problem

Aquaero 6 fan controller problem

Hello everyone. I purchased my Aquaero 6 roughly 6 months ago and today my fan controller stopped working.

I've tried swapping fan hubs/cables etc. I even went into my closet and dug up my old Lamptron controller and my fans are functioning 100% on that. Am I going to have to RMA my unit? Or is there a fix for this issue?

You could try a full reset:

1.) Turn off the PC and remove all connections with exception of power and USB.

2.) Place four jumpers on the temperature sensor connectors 5 to 8.

3.) Power on the system and after a short moment you should see a recovery mode screen in the aquaero display and the device should also beep 1x long followed by 3x short.

4.) Turn the PC off and remove the jumpers from the aquaero.

5.) Start the PC (aquaero will beep 3x short) and use the latest aquasuite 2016 software to flash the firmware onto the aquaero.

6.) Turn off the PC, connect all sensors etc. again and start the PC.

If that does not help I can only recommend to return the device for a check.

If you just updated to the 2017 version of the software it resets the fans to voltage control from PWM control. I just went through this, then had some other issues that took a few to resolve.
