Aquero 6 LT Questions

Freitag, 23. Dezember 2016, 07:43

Finally bit the bullet and going with the 6lt but I have a few questions about hooking up the d5 w/ usb interface with it. I have questions

Here are a list of parts that I Ordered:

Aquaero 6 LT w/ Heatsink
Flow Sensor high Flow USB
4x Temp Sensors ( In/Out Each Radiator)

1. The 6 LT Pump Connection. It looks different is it only suppose to connect the d5 pwn connection and plug in the pump to a molex and thats how its managed by power.

2. It doesn't seem like the d5 usb comes with the special connector or does it website doesn't make it real simple.

3. With the d5 and Flow Sensor USB, are they directly connected to the motherboard via open USB connections?

4. Aqubus is it needed to be connected or will the usb connect be enough. Or will I need a y splitter for the d5 and flow sensor to connect to the aqubus high side?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I tired of using fan controllers for fans and pump speeds Finally taking the learning curve to get this and make things a lot more easier when it come to automation of cooling for my pc.

1a. There is no "6LT pump connection" per se on the aquaero 6 LT.
1b. The 2-pin PWM ports you see are not for pumps or fans, but more for LED strips.
1c. The pump you specified, D5 pump motor with USB and aquabus interface, does not have a PWM interface and does not do PWM.
1d. Yes, the pump must be connected to a 4-pin Molex power connection from the PSU.
1e. The pump can be controlled either manually using a USB connection and/or automatically using the aquabus connection.

2a. The D5 requires a 4-pin power Molex from the PSU to operate.
2b. The D5 can be connected to the mobo via USB, and/or the aquaero via aquabus, but once configured does not require either connection to operate.

3a. Both devices can be connected via USB to the mobo, and should be initially for configuration.
3b. To use/control both/either with the aquaero, they may be connected via the aquabus.

4a. The USB connection is primarily to configure the devices and for manual control.
4b. The aquabus allows the aquaero to control/use the devices.
4c. Yes, if you attach both devices using aquabus you will need a Y-splitter to the aquabus High.
