MPS 400 flow sensor issue

Hi everybody!
I'm a first time user for the Aquacomputer products.

I recently bought an Aquacomputer MPSFlow 400 (order nr.93024552 - 21.05.2018)
I have a problem with this sensor.
The sensor is connected to an Aquaero 6 LT with the original Aquabus cable and to the motherboard with the usb cable. It is connected to the liquid system with 2 G1/4" fittings and 14/10 straight tubes.
The temperature of the cooling liquid is correctly detected.
The flow sensor doesnt' work well.
I manually configure the sensor in the Aquasuite software: switch off the pump, click the "Set current flow as zero" button and switch on again the pump. The detection of the flow starts working for a few minutes (about 100lt/h in aquasuite), then it drops to zero and never change. I can only make a new zero configuration, but it works for the same few minutes.

Is there a problem in my configuration ? Or in the sensor?
How can I solve this issue?

What kind of pump do you have and what speed it runs at? How many waterblocks/rads/angled adapters? Flow 400 only detects rates from 80 l/h, if your flow is below that you will always get 0.

I have an Alphacool D5 pwm pump at 2000rpm, 1 EK supremacy evo waterblock, 1 360mm rad. They are connected with 6 45° fittings and 2 straight fittings on the mps400.
When the sensor works, it detects 100lt/h. And the pump always run at that fixed speed. So the flow must be always the same...

Try to run the pump at 3000 RPM and check what happens.

It's not so easy...
My D5 pwm isn't compatible with pwm standards and I can't setect the speed. It can run at actual speed or it switches off... I have to make the mod and use the pump like a 3 pin fan (voltage controlled)

I believe you can do it with Aquasuite (if it's connected to Aquaero) switching it to "Power controlled".

No, without that mod the pump doesn't receive a good pwm signal and runs at a fixed speed.
After that mod, I can use the "Power controlled"...

Anyway, I think flow rate is just not enough at 2000RPM to be measured by flow 400.

I don't know why aquacomputer includes a 3-pin aquabus cable, but the MPS Flow 400 really should use the 4-pin version. A 4-pin fan cable works fine.

The 4th pin supplies power to the Flow sensor when the system is shut down, IF your motherboard provides power to USB ports when shutdown. This may be a Bios setting.

The MPS 400 resets the zero calibration automatically when the system is shutdown.

Not sure why the sensor falls to zero, but I suggest using a 4-pin aquabus cable and resetting the device to factory defaults. Lets see what happens then.

The manual zero calibration does not work in the current aquasuite version due to a bug. It will be fixed with aquasuite 2018 (~2 weeks).

Problem solved...
I made the mod to my pump. Now it runs from 3500 to 4800rpm and I have readings from 190 to 270lt/h.
Maybe the 100lt/h are too near the minimum value that the sensor can read...
