RGB 2 in 1

Hello,

A question for the AquaComputer team,

I have two sources of aRGB leds:
- 1st source: which is a pack of 3 fans with PST mode , which allows to chain them. So this source ends with a single 3 pins (out of 4) 5v aRGB connector.
- 2nd source: which is the ring of leds of the ULTITUBE D5 200 PRO reservoir. So this source ends with a (mini) 4 pins RGBpx connector.

How to connect these 2 cables on the unique RGBpx output of the Quadro device ?

First, I can convert the 3 pins aRGB connector to a mini 4 pins RGBpx connector with this adapter , but it is not enough.

:?: Would a Y-shaped RGBpx cable work (but I can't find it on your site)?
:?: Do I have to use a Splitty4?

Thank you,
Philippe

Just connect the components in series.
Quadro -> RGBpx Cable-> Ultitube RGB ring -> RGBpx Cable -> Adapter -> Fans.

Y-Cable does not work with RGBpx, because you will lose the ability to control your LEDs.
No, you do not need a Splitty4.

well.. Y cable would work.. but the ultitube and the fans would play the same effects in parallel. no individual control. it's better to go serial when possible. Thankfully the Ultitube ring allows that.

Ahhh great!
Thanks for the confirmation. I will chain them.

The description of the Ultitube does not show that it allows to chain the RGBpx, hence my question.
I should have checked the description of the ring itself (which I just did), where we can see the two connectors.

Well on a side note, I wouldn't mind losing individual control, I don't really like Christmas tree styles...
My intention is to just have a soft, uniform lighting. But if I can keep the individual control, I might as well keep it, in case one day I get the Christmas disease :)

Merry Christmas to you (a bit late :) )
