Data Source for Virtual Software Sensor Disappeared

Mittwoch, 11. September 2024, 19:38

Hi, a few months ago, I created a virtual software sensor to control the speed of my pump based on CPU Load or GPU Load, as shown below.

My pump normally runs at about 50 liters/hour, but it is now running at the fallback value of 100%.

When I looked, it doesn't seem that the sensor I previously used is even present now, namely

sensor\aquamonitor//gpunvidia/0/load/0

I just updated the NVIDIA driver, so maybe that's why?

Any help?

Joe

I have had NVidia GPU sensors disappear from my Overview pages several times after a GPU driver update. I use HWINFO and Shared Memory to import all my sensor data and have all Aquasuite direct sensor polling disabled. The GPU sensor data will show up in HWINFO, but the data does not import into Aquasuite until I re-select them. It does not happen every time, has not happened in a while, and I never did figure out why it happens. I am about to update my RTX3080 to driver v561.09. If I lose the GPU sensor data after the driver update, I will update this post. It seems like sometimes NVidia driver updates cause this to happen, but most times it does not happen. I am not using any GPU sensor data in a Virtual Sensor but I am pretty sure that when this disconnect happens, the sensor data is not available anywhere in Aquasuite until I reselect the sensors.

Try to disable the gpu from your CPU in the bios settings.

That worked perfectly!

The GeForce graphics card was restored as an option again.

Thank you.

Glad this worked for OP but I am confused. Do you mean go into the BIOS and disable the iGPU, in OP's case Intel UHD Graphics 770? When this happened to me after updating my NVidia RTX3080 drivers, I had no such option because my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5950X which does not have an iGPU. For CPUs that do have an iGPU, does Aquasuite get confused about which GPU to report?
