Over eight years ago, we launched our first PCIe adapter card with a passive heat sink, the kryoM.2 for NVMe SSDs.
Due to the high demand, the kryoM.2 evo followed shortly afterwards as an enhanced version with a significantly larger heat sink on the front, additional cooling for the rear and all-round LED lighting.
Now we present the latest generation of this proven product series: the kryoM.2 RGBpx!
The kryoM.2 RGBpx and kryoM.2 evo adapters are visually similar, but the lighting of the new RGBpx version has been significantly enhanced.
Instead of single-color LEDs, 17 individually controllable RGB LEDs are used now, allowing for an individual look.
Two buttons allow switching between five lighting effects and six activity effects*.
The currently selected effect is indicated by an LED which lights up briefly. In addition, brightness and color can be set separately. (*The indication of the activity depends on the respective SSD)
The lighting effects and activity effects can be combined with each other as desired. The lighting can also be completely deactivated.
All effects and settings are controlled and saved directly on the adapter card by a microcontroller which requires no additional software.
There is an RGBpx connector on the back of the board, which can be used to control the LEDs externally.
With an optional cable/adapter, it is possible to connect the LEDs to a mainboard (ARGB) or a fan controller such as the QUADRO or OCTO, for example.
The kryoM.2 RGBpx not only offers many options for controlling the lighting, but also continues to rely on proven quality and performance:
A large aluminum heat sink on the front and another on the back keep temperatures low even when using high-end SSDs. This prevents possible drops in the transfer rate for maximum performance.
By using high-quality components and optimization for the PCIe 5.0 interface, the kryoM.2 RGBpx can achieve maximum data rates and short loading times.
The achievable transfer rates (read/write) depend on the hardware used:
Due to the identical layout to the predecessor, the optionally available kryoM.2 water coolers are still compatible. A corresponding bundle will follow shortly.
The kryoM.2 RGBpx can be ordered in the webshop at a price of €34.90. Delivery will begin shortly.
I searched for "kryoM.2 RGBpx" in the Aquacomputer online shop but nothing was found. Nothing in the M.2 SSD section either. Has the product been added to the shop yet? What is the Product Number?
Thank you! The cheapest option for shipping to the US is more than the price of the product so I am hoping these will be available from US Distributors like ModMyMods, Performance PCs, Titan Rig, and Frozen CPU. I just checked their websites and none of them have these in stock (yet). Titan Rig and Performance PCs don't have any Aquacomputer M.2 SSD coolers listed at all. Hopefully ModMyMod and/or FrozenCPU will order some of these.
