Setting up a backup pump

I have an Aquero 6 along with the older aquabus compatible D5 pump and it’s still working great however I’d like to install a backup pump (maybe a small DDC) to act as a backup.
The goal would be that the D5 will be the only pump running, however if it did fail and my flow sensor Next detected it, the DDC would be turned on.

Any guidance would be appreciated
